My name is Eric Norris. I’m a new home sales consultant in the Dallas Division. I’m relatively new with Mercedes Homes, only since August 19, 2005. I have just returned from spending an exciting, informative, event-filled week at Cocoa Beach. I was impressed with the Mercedes approach, in how to “Train” new sales persons, and how to “Refresh” experienced sales persons, and so very much impressed with the person in charge of that training - Bill Herring, I felt compelled to send this note.
Every one of us in attendance had been exposed to various sales seminars, motivational speakers, training classes, etc., with pretty much the same techniques, agendas, and results. Have you ever gone to any training, or for that matter, any kind of seminar, and thought to yourself, “Oh no, not another one of those meetings?” Well, I’m here to tell you, with Bill it’s not just another meeting, it’s an event where you actually learn and enjoy learning. As you listen to Bill, it starts to all come together, and you realize that you are going to have to change certain ways you think, and act. We have been programmed that the sales process is a certain way, with a certain agenda, that must be followed in order to be successful. Bill’s method is simple, put the emphasis on the customer, they are the most important factor in our Sales Equation. Bill delivers the material in such a manner, that you want to hang onto every word, and you don’t want to miss anything. You can tell he really enjoys what he does.
When you are listening to Bill, it’s not a dull, boring speech delivered in a dead-pan monotone. NO, his delivery is filled with excitement, laughter, expressions - he’s alive and makes you feel alive. I consider it a privilege to have been able to go to Cocoa Beach and attend Bill Herring’s training. Everyone that hasn’t been, should go. Thank you for having the insight to have this training for your employees.
